I:51 is our dynamic youth program impacting 7th through 12th grades. Connecting teens with caring adults provides another voice speaking truth into their lives during this transitional stage of emotional, social and spiritual growth. This is a place for teens to bond with others who believe the same things they do, as well as work together to take part in the bigger picture of Christianity through service, teaching and mentoring activities. I:51 leaders constantly evaluate their ministry according to a set of values called "5 Things Every Kid Needs".
Sunday mornings
Teens have a super capacity for spiritual and social growth. Seizing that potential, we provide a variety of opportunities which encourage them toward love and good works. Teens actively participate in our Worship Band, work alongside adults in Children’s Ministries and then after morning worship are offered their own age-based Sunday School classes.
Sunday nights
Both 7th – 8th grade and 9th – 12th grade groups are led by Director Laura Hayes and her team of adult Youth Leaders. Often breaking into small groups, these interactive classes are geared to help teens learn more about the Bible and each other at the same time. Sunday nights the youth group unites in a more casual atmosphere with an activity and a challenge followed by small group discussion.
